Following her surprise performance of “Any Which Way” with Scissor Sisters at Glastonbury last month, Kylie Minogue joined the band on stage once more in Melbourne the other night, where they belted out the country version of “All The Lovers.” (The Scissters initially performed this rendition of Minogue’s single on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge in June.) And yesterday, Kylie also confirmed another collaboration—a duet with Hurts, which will appear on the Manchester duo’s debut album Happiness.

Yesterday Kylie tweeted, “I have recorded a song called ‘Devotion’ with the delicious ‘Hurts’!!!” This followed NME‘s article about the song, which quoted Hurts’ singer Theo Hutchcraft as saying the following:

“We wrote a song about infidelity called ‘Devotion’. Since we have enjoyed an illicit life-long love affair with Kylie Minogue, we mustered up every ounce of courage we had and asked her if she would like to sing the song with us. She said yes. The delicate yet powerful way she expresses the fragility of female emotion has added a magical missing ingredient to an album about love, loss and happiness. If you don’t ask, you don’t get… I guess.”

Our anticipation level for their album just went up about three notches! Happiness is out in the UK on September 6.
