The UK Version Of Maroon 5’s “Misery” Video Is All Hearts And Ice Cream Cones

You won’t find any punching, kicking, shooting or stabbing in the UK edit of Maroon 5’s “Misery” video. All of the violent scenes have been covered with cutesy graphics for the Brits (so, pretty much 85% of the video). So now, each time the femme fatale star of the clip gives Adam Levine a knuckle sandwich, an explosion of hearts covers up the “offending” action. Most hilarious bit: when she slams Levine’s head in the bathroom stall door, feathers fly around and the words “pillow fight” are super-imposed over the scene. Watch the PG-rated version of “Misery” after the jump.

Joseph Kahn, who most recently lensed Eminem and Rihanna’s epic “Love The Way You Lie” video, directed the original “Misery” video.

And given that it’s all sex and no violence, we’re assuming M5’s Hands All Over album cover will be left, uh, untouched when it arrives on British shores.
