Rihanna Tied For Most #1 Pop Songs
With the success of her Eminem collaboration “Love The Way You Lie”, Rihanna now ties with Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Lady Gaga for most #1 songs on the Pop Songs radio airplay chart in the Nielsen survey’s 18-year history. (Following right behind these ladies is Avril Lavigne, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Pink, all with five #1 singles each.) Surprisingly, “Umbrella” never hit number one on the Pop Songs chart, although it topped the Hot 100, along with six other of RiRi’s tracks.
