Jay Sean And Nicki Minaj Party Across The Globe In “2012 (It Ain’t The End)”

Last month Jay Sean boasted that his Nicki Minaj collaboration “2012 (It Ain’t The End)” is going to be stuck in everybody’s head for the rest of the summer. And while the song isn’t exactly blowing up iTunes (it’s currently floundering at #55 on the digital store’s chart), the Erik White-directed music video has now arrived.

We hate to burst Jay’s bubble, but “2012” isn’t the most memorable tune, is it? It sounds like he tried to follow in Enrique Iglesias’ footsteps and bang out a party jam (a la “I Like It”) with lyrics that took about 10 minutes to write.

And Nicki, girl, we love you, but you don’t have to sign on for every collaboration that’s offered to you.

Oh well — maybe Sean will fare better with his other single he plans releasing soon, “Break Your Back”? Assuming, of course, that the world hasn’t ended by then.
