Though he’s been cranking away on Ray J’s upcoming Raydiation LP and prepping material for a project involving unreleased Michael Jackson music, Rodney Jerkins found the time to hit the studio with Shontelle. The result is “Perfect Nightmare,” an upbeat club track that stands in stark contrast to the Barbadian singer’s recent ballad “Impossible.” Listen below.

And while she can’t seem to shake the pesky gent she describes in the tune, we’re finding Shon’s latest to be equally irresistible. It’s certainly a step in the right direction for the 24-year-old, for whom Top 10 hit status in the U.S. has so far been elusive.

Do you think this will be another smash hit feather for Darkchild to pop into his extremely crowded cap?
