Kanye West’s “Good Friday” MP3 Is Ready For You

Kanye West seemed so fixated on New York Fashion Week and his missing antique fish tank that, for a brief moment, we weren’t sure he’d be able to keep up with his scheduled weekly song giveaway. (Even Kanye seemed uncertain). But who are we kidding? ‘Ye is on fire right now, and seems incapable of letting us down. Last night he posted his third G.O.O.D. Friday track, a throwback jam that, like mixtape track “Wylin ‘Cause I’m Young”, features Kid Cudi… along with four(!) other artists. Listen below as Kanye reminds you that it’s Fashion Week.

Kanye stans will remember that, last week, he suggested that he might release two tracksthis time, but even if he doesn’t, “Good Friday” is jammed with enough artists you’d almost forget it’s just one joint. Joining Cudi are Common, Pusha T, Big Sean and Charlie Wilson. The track is built to be a classic: a slow-rolling beat and an old-school sample (Biz Markie? Or Freddie Scott?) lay the foundation for Kanye and Co. to throw verses about preparing to party: “I know the city ain’t ready for me”

Sadly, we don’t expect to hear this one when Kanye performs on the MTV VMAs this Sunday, but we do expect to have a blast watching with you guys. See you at the the liveblog! [Via Kanye]
