Hear Kanye West’s “Runaway” — The Studio Version

We already know from his closing performance at Sunday’s MTV VMAs that Kanye West isn’t hiding his shortcomings on new track “Runaway.” Toast the douchebags, scumbags and jerkoffs with the studio version of “Runaway,” which features West’s new signing Pusha T, below. (Warning: NSFW)

[wpaudio url=”//idolator.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Runaway.mp3″ text=”Kanye West – Runaway”] “Runaway, baby,” Kanye urges on his new track — propelled by haunting, plunking piano riff. The lyrics seem to show Kanye as he’s reflecting on how he’s sabotaged his relationships with women. (Remember Amber Rose?) But is he suggesting that the object of his affection just flee, rather than wait around for an apology? Ah, well — recognizing your problems is the first step to overcoming them, no?

Something about hearing this final version of ‘Ye’s cut seems less epic than actually watching him jump around in his red suit on the Video Music Awards stage at the Nokia Theatre. That said, we still have the Runaway short film to look forward to this November.

And it’s a nice bonus ahead of this Friday’s G.O.O.D. leak.
