Earlier this week we posted “Ambitions,” the lead single from 2009 X Factor winner Joe McElderry. And just in time for the weekend comes the tune’s sunny music video, which finds McElderry walking through the streets of Bulgaria, inspiring the locals to get up and dance. If you were looking for something to get you smiling on this fall Friday, Joe’s vid could be it.

“Ambitions,” a cover of a #1 single by Norwegian band Donkeyboy, is McElderry’s lead single from debut album Wide Awake (out in the UK on October 25).

The video was directed by Nigel Dick, who also shot Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time” and “Oops!…I Did It Again,” and Oasis’ “Wonderwall.”

Meanwhile, Olly Murs, who wound up being the runner-up on The X Factor last year, already released his debut single, “Please Don’t Let Me Go,” which topped the British chart in August.

Which of these chaps do you think has the more winning tune?
