Whatcha Say: The Good, The Bad And The Frenzy In This Week’s Reader Comments

This week we overloaded on sweetness by posting videos of the meet-up we arranged between David Archuleta, whose new album The Other Side Of Down is finally out next week, and one of his musical inspirations, Alison Sudol (aka A Fine Frenzy). We had no idea how the pairing would turn out, but needless to say we were pleasantly surprised—not only with how cute these two were together, but with the responses we received from fans of each artist. Check some of them out below!

:: Nina was feeling like a matchmaker on David Archuleta And A Fine Frenzy: The Idolator Meet-Up: “David & Alison are the 2 coolest, cutest and talented people ever! I can´t even imagine how extraordinary child would be born if these 2 got married!!”

:: Monica found herself quite moved by this musical meeting: “The second video of him watching them perform seriously made me cry. I love A Fine Frenzy so much and can totally imagine how cool that moment must have felt for him. There is nothing like getting to tell someone that they have inspired you and I’m sure they appreciated hearing it too.”

:: Angel50 also got a bit misty: “Oh my! These two just make me cry with happy tears! I am grinnin’ from ear-to-ear for David to have met Alison! Real nice of Idolator to make this happen. THANKS!”

:: And, hey—Rena is now an Archie convert: “Thanks Idolator. A Fine Frenzy is one of my all time faves. David Archuleta is one of my new faves. His new song “Elevator” is so much fun. If you guys liked the second video of Alison and Omar, you have to see A Fine Frenzy live. Alison is just incredible.”

:: Elsewhere, Petra thought things were a bit muted on Rihanna Is Red Hot On Her Loud Album Cover: “It looks good when it just the top of her hair with the sides shaved like in the “Who’s That Chick” video or short in the “Love the Way You Lie” video, but otherwise, it’s not my favourite look on her. Not feeling the sparkly head bands either.”

:: And Michael felt like being a rude boy: “She doesn’t sing as much as she burps. And she never goes away. The cover is completely boring. Why would anyone care about her any more? Yawn.”

:: LMG was down with the dancing but not the plot on Britney Spears On Glee: It’s Like A Circus: “All I want to know was if that was Heather Morris dancing Britney Spears’ part or not. It seemed too close to the original to be her and if it was her DAMN that bitch can dance. As for the whole episode… HATED IT. It didn’t deliver, though the dancing was good and I loved Rachel’s last song, and I thought it was worse than the first episode.”

:: Justine had a special inquiry on Watch Kylie Minogue Perform For BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge: “Anyone know where that outfit comes from? And where can I get similar? I thought she mentioned it was a richard nicolls jumpsuit in the interview but not sure.”
