Kid Cudi Is A “Maniac” On New ‘Mr. Rager’ Track

Kid Cudi has been spending most of his summer with Kanye, conjuring up various G.O.O.D. Friday tracks, so much so that we almost forgot the rapper has his own album being prepped for release. Jump below to listen to another Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager track, “Maniac”, which features Weathermen frontman Cage and samples indie band St. Vincent’s “The Strangers“.

The song, with a pulsing drum beats and a crackling, electric guitar on the hook, is elegantly spacey, although yet another midtempo track from Cudi is the last thing we need. We’re not saying he has to jump on the David Guetta/electro-pop bandwagon, but Cudi, don’t you have  anything up your sleeve that would make us want to jump up and party instead of lethargically lay on our couch and chill? You’d think owning a jar full of cocaine would make one much more peppier than this.

This is the sixth track to surface from Mr. Rager. It’s about time the album dropped already, no? It more or less has already. Check out the preview Mr. Rager tracks to pop up the last few weeks:
