Katy Perry Sets Off Her “Firework” On ‘The X Factor’
Katy Perry sounded as if she was in much better vocal form on The X Factor last night than when she appeared on Wetten, Dass…? earlier this month. The Cosmopolitan-covering California gurl belted out her third Teenage Dream single “Firework” on the UK program, where her backing dancers dazzled the cheering studio audience with a surprise pyrotechnic display. Katy sounded pretty decent tackling the Stargate/Sandy Vee-produced track live. The problem with a lot of her hits seems to be that they’re such slick productions, they’d be hard for anyone to replicate perfectly on the stage. At least Perry always gives it the old college try!
The “Firework” music video, which has yet to premiere, was shot last month in Hungary.
