T.I.’s Upcoming Album Loses Its ‘King Uncaged’ Title

Given that T.I. is expected to turn himself in to authorities on Monday to begin serving 11 months in jail, it makes sense that the troubled rapper would scrap his upcoming album’s title, King Uncaged. Instead, his seventh LP will now boast a more appropriate, harsher name, given his current circumstances. Catch it below. Rap-Up.com posted the following radio interview Tip did with Hot 107.9 FM’s Rickey Smiley, where the “Got Your Back” MC states, “It ain’t King Uncaged no more. We had to change the title.” He then adds that his forthcoming LP will be called No Mercy.

After his film Taken topped the box office at the end of August, T.I.’s fortunes took a turn for the worse when he was arrested on September 1. Cops busted the rapper for alleged drug possession while he was driving on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood with wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle.

Sigh. At least we get Weezy back three days after Tip heads to the clink!
