Corinne Bailey Rae Asks “Is This Love?” On The ‘Tonight Show’
Ahead of her gig in Los Angeles last night, soulful performer Corinne Bailey Rae and her band hit up the Tonight Show With Jay Leno, where they turned out a smooth cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love?”. Earlier this week Corinne spoke with us about the song, which is her new single. “I really like that D’Angelo record Voodoo and how everything feels so late on there,” she said. “So I just thought about that song ‘Is This Love?’ and how poignant it sounds and how it feels when it’s stretched out at that tempo.” Watch her do “Is This Love?” for Leno’s audience below!
“Is This Love?” available now on iTunes, will appear on Corinne’s upcoming The Love EP (due out in February 2011), which she told us will also contain covers of songs by Belly, Paul McCartney, Prince and Doris Day.
