Watch Kid Cudi’s Nightmarish ‘Mr. Rager’ Album Trailer If You’re Not Easily Scared

There is something disturbing going on with Kid Cudi lately – after being arrested for a mysterious violent attack (and being found with enough cocaine to literally fill a large jar), the rapper bizarrely announced he no longer wanted to be a rapper on the cusp of the release of his sophomore album, Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager. Going through a dark phase with self-identity issues, perhaps? That theory gathers even more support in the trailer and promotional posters for Mr. Rager, featuring Cudder bloodied and left for dead. See the gory scene below:

Is Kid Cudi the villain in this brief horrific scene, or the victim? Or both?

This isn’t the scariest thing to come from Cudi this week – the artist, who usually looks so well put together, was caught stumbling in the street after leaving the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood on Halloween. Which is really more sad than scary, actually.

And here are the horror movie-inspired posters, which look like they could be part of the Saw franchise:

Eek. We’re not exactly sure how this is supposed to get us excited about his new album. Do Freddy and Jason drop a guest verse on a track?
