Last night, Shakira kicked off the 2010 MTV EMAs in Madrid with her hip-shaking hit “Loca.” The night only gained momentum from there, with performances rolling in from B.o.B and Hayley Williams (the 2010 summer jam duet “Airplanes”), Rihanna —who rocked a floral frock for “Only Girl (In The World)” while surrounded by men in business suits—and cannibalistic daredevil Ke$ha, who opted for glow-in-the-dark body paint in lieu of the usual glitter. As for Katy Perry’s live rendition of “Firework”, well, we’ll just let you be the judge of how that went down. Check out all the highlights—including Kanye’s arena-rockin’ “Power”—below.
