Like Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson has a Christmas album out this month. And also like expectant mama Mimi’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and “Oh Santa!”, Simpson channels a Motown vibe on her new LP’s track “My Only Wish.” Head below to listen and see if if you think Jessica’s new song is a present to treasure or a total re-gift. Simpson’s album Happy Christmas is due out November 22, and as JustJared.com notes, she worked on the set of Yuletide jams with “Single Ladies” producers The-Dream and Tricky Stewart.

Call us crazy, but given her pseudo-sultry vocal delivery, it also feels like Jessica needs to whip up a music video for this track where she’s all dolled up like Marilyn Monroe, seductively cooing into a microphone while elves mill around in the background doing elf-like things.

Either that or she could just slap on a Mariah Carey wig. Happy Christmas!
