Jazmine Sullivan Is Ticked Off In Her “10 Seconds” Video

Word to the wise, gentlemen: don’t two-time “Bust Your Windows” singer Jazmine Sullivan. Turns out the guy who had his windshield smashed got off easy — in her new video for “10 Seconds,” the shatter-happy chanteuse ties up her man and saddles him with a ticking time bomb! You have exactly ten seconds to click here and begin watching the video — or else.

Like many scorned individuals with explosives, Sullivan certainly has a commanding presence. “I’m giving you only ten seconds to go,” she belts before beginning a countdown, dressed like a vengeful bellhop. “Don’t let me get to 10.” So much for the weepy victim of “Holding You Down”.

Despite the provocative storyline, the video is shot in a smooth black-and-white, with some striking splashes of color. There is a surprising air of class here, considering it features a man with a deadly device strapped to his chest, tied up in an abandoned warehouse. Don’t all the Saw movies start like this? We can only hope this cad learned his lesson.

Jazmine Sullivan — “10 Seconds”:

T.I.’s “Dying In Your Arms” collaborator isn’t afraid to go for the raw emotion in her music or her videos, and the Salaam Remi-produced track is unlikely to end the Lauryn Hill comparisons anytime soon.“10 Seconds” will appear on Sullivan’s sophomore album Love Me Back, due later this month.
