Eminem And Rihanna Have The Year’s Best-Selling Single In The UK

NME has posted the UK’s 40 best-selling singles of 2010, and while we’re not surprised that Eminem and Rihanna’s global mega-hit “Love The Way You Lie” topped the list, what is interesting is the overall lack of UK artists in the Top 10. Sure, there’s the Helping Haiti “Everybody Hurts” charity record, which featured basically a who’s who of current British pop stars. But #1 through #6 is populated by us Yanks (with, of course, the exception of fashionable Barbadian Rihanna, who “features” on #1). Catch the upper portion of the UK’s biggest singles of the year after the jump. Regarding the top single across the pond, NME notes, “Surprisingly, it never reached Number One of the UK Singles Chart, peaking at Number Two. It did, however, top the UK R&B Chart.”

Oh, well—at least the song’s producer is from London.
