Is the American Idol Coca-Cola cup half full or half empty? Both! Last night’s Season 10 premiere scored 26.1 million viewers, big enough to make it the most-watched TV show of the night by a mile… but it still fell short of last year’s premiere ratings (29 million). All in all, J-Lo & Co. dropped about 13% of their viewership from last year (or 18% in the ad-coveted demo of 18-49-year olds). But if you insist on looking on the sunny side, the Season 9 finale only had 24 million viewers, so actually, they’re up. Let’s see how they do tonight! [Vulture]
