Nicki Minaj Creeps Up On ‘SNL’

If Nicki Minaj really is feeling the pressure of her stardom, she’d better get used to it. After her command performance on last night’s Saturday Night Live, the Harajuku Barbie isn’t going anywhere. In addition to lush performances of her acclaimed hits “Moment 4 Life” and “Right Thru Me”, Nicki showed off her acting chops (and her KING-size derriere) in her role as the bewigged bride of “Blackenstein”, and dropped a verse on the Lonely Island video introducing their new dance, “The Creep”. Watch Nicki stage her massive attack on SNL below.

Nicki donned a blonde wig and spectacles for her cameo in the Lonely Island skit (which also featured a special appearance from famed director John Waters). As PopEater noted, Nicki perfectly balances “nerdy sweetness and total ickiness” in her role, right up to the point she tries to smooch a corpse. (Nicki named the character Point Dexter, and we expect that means there’s a 100% chance we’ll see her again).

But Nicki was equally engaging in her role as the Bride of Blackenstein — perhaps her strongest horror-inspired performance since “My Chick Bad”:

And let’s not forget her performances (one of them featuring her Blackenstein fright wig):
