Iconic Supa Dupa Fly partners in rhyme Missy Elliott and Timbaland have announced their renewed musical partnership via a new video clip, where they discuss several upcoming projects. “Ima clear the confusion—Timbo Thursdays was to prepare you for [the next] Shock Value,” Tim says in the vid. “But she’s coming out first, so I’m gonna prepare her—Missy coming out first. We working together.” Watch below. Back in January, Timbo dropped his new Missy collaboration “Take Ur Clothes Off” as part of his Timbaland Thursdays offerings on Twitter.

“I didn’t want to clutter y’all with a whole bunch of Missy records,” the hit-making producer says in the video. “But I do have a lot… I might drop one more Missy record.”

Elliott adds by thanking both her and Timbaland’s fans, and saying, “When you can say you’ve been in the game for 18 years, it’s not washed up—it’s called iconic, and legends.”

The hip hop pair seem to indicate that they’re working on one album together at the very least. Then Missy let’s the cat out of the bag about a new Timbaland track called “Break Ya Back” that she says will “change hip hop all over again.”

Hey—at least Missy is taking a somewhat classier approach at getting back in the game than Lil’ Kim is. Are you excited for her long-delayed return to the scene?
