Been scratching your head over how exactly Kim Kardashian’s debut single “Jam” came to be? Viewers of E!’s Kourtney And Kim Take New York witnessed the initial meeting between the reality-star-turned-budding-songstress and hit producer The-Dream last night. “What if this is so bad we just won’t do anything with it?” a nervous Kim asked. “If it’s so bad, I’ma leak it,” The-Dream announced. Oh, dear. Watch below. Kim, clearly anxious, asked the producer, “Do you promise me that I’m not going to embarrass myself here?” His response: “For me, this is what I do. I can’t have you being embarrassed ’cause then that would reflect on me and I’ll look like an idiot.”

Among a truckload of songs, Dream has worked on Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” and Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” Anyone thinking “Jam” will reach those same soaring heights?

Currently it’s at #67 on iTunes.
