We’ve rounded up the early reviews of Britney Spears’ soon-to-be-officially-released Femme Fatale and also did up a By The Numbers list detailing some interesting facts about references made on the album, but there is still the deluxe edition and its four bonus tracks to look forward to. Today a snippet of one such song, “Selfish,” has made its way online. Hear it below. “Okay you think you got me where you want me, I’ma show you tonight / that I’m a girl and you’re a boy and tonight you’re gonna be my, be my man,” Britney coos on Stargate/Sandy Vee co-production “Selfish.”

Surely you didn’t think Her Spearship was going to stray too far from her eternal themes of wild feet-touching-the-chandelier sex and love (emphasis on the former)?

Granted, this is only 40-or-so seconds of the song, but we’re totally scratching our heads in wonderment at how this seemingly Grade A jam was relegated to being a bonus track?

Stargate, of course, has racked up a tasty plateful of hits over the past year, including Rihanna’s “(Only Girl) In The World” and “What’s My Name,” Katy Perry’s “Firework” and Wiz Khalifa’s “Black And Yellow.”

What do you think of “Selfish”—should it have been on the Femme Fatale album proper?
