When Robyn isn’t serving up her own noteworthy material, she’s lending her recognizable pipes to tracks by other quirky, pop-minded artists. And this time around it’s Stockholm act Teddybears who get the Robyn vocal touch, on their new single “Cardiac Arrest.” Listen below. Teddybears, of course, are headed up by brothers Joakim and Klas Åhlund, the latter of whom has produced such Robyn jams as “Hang With Me,” “Fembot,” “Indestructible” and “Handle Me.” (Klas also co-wrote Britney Spears’ “Piece Of Me,” which contains backing vocals by Robyn.)

“Reagan rolled up her eyes and hissed / Mommy called on the exorcist / so come on and shake your bone maker,” Robyn sings on squiggly electro-pop tune “Cardiac Arrest.”

Here’s the lyrics video for the single:

Why is it that Robyn consistently winds up either making or appearing on the best ’80s pop that never actually came out in the ’80s?

“Cardiac Arrest” was made available today on iTunes.
