Alicia Keys, one-half of one of music’s royal couples, is decked out in white and looking radiant on two different covers for the upcoming June issue of Essence. “Falling in love is such a force, but this is a whole other level of magic,” she says about her artfully-tattooed husband Swizz Beatz. Head below to see Alicia’s second cover for the mag. Alicia, who’s clearly in the mood for Mother’s Day, also reveals some info about a new track she penned for her own mom. The tune, “I Owe You,” is from her upcoming studio album.

“In the past, I’ve written mostly from my own perspective,” Keys told Essence. “But I just wrote a song for my next album that was inspired by a conversation I had with a man who was expressing how indebted he feels to God. He said, ‘I owe God.’ Now, what an interesting thought. And as much as I believe in God, for me that translated into how much I owe my mother for who I am. So I went home and I wrote ‘I Owe You’. It’s dedicated to her.”

Next up for Alicia: the June 28 release of the 10th anniversary Deluxe edition of Keys’ breakthrough album Songs In A Minor.
