Beyonce’s Latest “Run The World (Girls)” Video Teaser: Can This Single Be Saved?
Is Beyonce following Britney Spears’ M.O. for video promo? A week after her last video teaser for floudering single “Run The World (Girls)” arrived, another one has been foisted on the singer’s Bey-loving fans. This one’s a tad bit lengthier than the previous teases, and shows what looks to be a military showdown between an army of men and a pack of fierce divas under a bridge in the desert. The battle ensues below. The 38-second clip also shows Beyonce decked out in various glamazon outfits while striking poses in front of burning and overturned cars. This diva appears to be in it to win it.
She’ll need all that fire, too, if she wants to get “Run The World (Girls)” back in action on the charts. Last week the single fell from its lackluster debut position of #33 on the Hot 100 to #48. Currently on iTunes it’s at #163 — five positions below Rebecca Black’s durable viral wonder “Friday.”
At this point one has to wonder if the Frances Lawrence-directed video will simply be too little too late once it finally premieres.
Do you think Beyonce’s single has a chance of rebounding once the video arrives?
