Beyonce isn’t the only pop starlet surprising youngsters, Keri Hilson also got her philanthropy on in London recently when she paid a visit to the DV8 Training music school. Before meeting the high school students, the pretty girl shared her excitement, “I love to give back. I don’t think people understand how inspiring it is both ways. While I may inspire others, while I’m standing there I’m getting inspired because it takes me back to when I had a dream.” Below, watch the glamourous singer as she imparts her wisdom from years in the industry to aspiring artists and producers. Screaming fans start around the six-minute mark, as does a mini “Pretty Girl Rock” a capella performance:

“If you’re not knowledgeable and you don’t do your research all the time, they won’t trust you to have that opinion . . . know your stuff, cause you don’t want anybody taking advantage of you.” That’s solid advice for any teen looking to follow a dream.
