Leona Lewis’ “Collide” Drama Goes To Court

Though Leona Lewis claims the beat to her new single “Collide” was procured with permission, the law may not rule in her favor. Today, the High Court of London will hear the case of Tim Bergling (aka Swedish DJ Avicii), who claims that Lewis’ team plagiarized his song “Fade Into Darkness” (originally released as “Penguin”). He hopes to place an injunction against Lewis’ song to prevent the song from going on sale. We’re curious to see how this one turns out. (Big pay day, or will Lewis have to snag a new lead single?) Stay tuned! [Via Examiner]
