Of the three Season 10 American Idol alums who premiered music videos yesterday, Lauren Alaina’s photo album epic is turning out to be the favorite (at least according to our poll in the right sidebar). So it should please readers to know that there’s a bit more news regarding the 16-year-old’s forthcoming country-pop album. Mjsbigblog has confirmed that Lauren is recording an aptly-titled song called “Georgia Peaches” for her debut LP. The song, which contains feisty lyrics like “you don’t stand a chance once you’ve seen a Southern lady,” was written by Blair Daly (Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts, Backstreet Boys), Mallary Hope and Rachel Proctor (Martina McBride, Jessica Simpson).

Here’s a clip of Mallory Hope performing “Georgia Peaches” in June at the 2011 CMA Music Festival in Nashville:

Hmmm. Is it just us or is “Georgia Peaches” a bit (read: a lot) suggestive for a 16-year-old to be singing? Welcome to pop music, Lauren!

Are you looking forward to hearing the 2011 Idol runner-up’s version of the song?
