Bruno Mars can’t stop keeping company with rappers. After providing the hook on B.o.B and Eminem tunes, the soul crooner sings on Lil Wayne’s “Mirror”, off Tha Carter IV. The track finds Lil Tunechi getting introspective, and much like his sad-and-sweet “How To Love”, we see Weezy’s softer side. Listen to the somber song below.

Lil Wayne feat. Bruno Mars – “Mirror”

Wayne – who previously remixed Mars’ single “Grenade” – takes a long hard look at himself in “Mirror”, and isn’t afraid to some serious depth. He also finds inspiration from Michael Jackson: “And no message could have been any clearer / so I’m starting with the man in the mirror… MJ taught me that.”

Are you liking this more subdued version of Weezy, or wish he would go back to rapping sexual euphemisms? Sound off below.
