MGMT Cover Bauhaus’ “All We Ever Wanted Was Everything”: Listen
Kid Cudi’s pals MGMT released a none-too-cheery album last year (that had what we deemed to be one of the worst album covers of 2010), so it’s not surprising that their latest move was to record a cover of “All We Ever Wanted Was Everything” by seminal goth rock band Bauhaus, for the compilation series Late Night Tales. Meanwhile, NME notes that MGMT’s next album, due out next year, will be “fun” and “happy.” We remain skeptical. Listen to the duo cover Peter Murphy & Co. below.
