The United States and United Kingdom sure do have a great back-scratching strategy when it comes to televised singing competitions. Great Britain gave us Pop Idol (which turned into American Idol), then we sent America’s Got Talent (which turned into Britain’s Got Talent) across the pond, and they returned the favor by shipping over The X Factor.
