Amy Winehouse’s Father To Write Memoir, ‘Amy, My Daughter’
Amy Winehouse’s untimely death has inspired her father to write about her life. Mitch Winehouse has signed a deal with HarperCollins to write a memoir, to be titled Amy, My Daughter. The tome, which is expected to be released in Summer 2012, will touch upon Amy’s early life, as well as her success as a recording artist and her struggles with drugs and alcohol.
“I feel that I need to write this book to tell the true story of Amy and to help with my personal recovery,” Mitch Winehouse said in a statement.
All proceeds will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which is finally up and running after a brief complication with its domain name.
