LMFAO Halloween Costume: A How-To Guide

Pop stars and outrageous outfits go hand in hand, which makes it oh-so easy to dress up as one for Halloween. Having trouble deciding which artist to choose from? We’re back to help you handpick the most iconic ensembles from 2011 and give you some tips on how to recreate them. As always, save us a fun-size candy bar from your trick-or-treat bag as thanks. (Just no, Dots please!)

Today, we’ll walk you through how to get your Halloween party rocking with our LMFAO costume guide (no elaborate light display needed) . Jump below and start shuffling!

“Party Rock Anthem” LMFAO:

What you’ll need:

  • A pair of the duo’s signature specs (sans lenses of course).
  • Make sure your animal print pants are outta control  — like this pair or this pair.
  • Shuffling shoes. No need to shell out $120, when you can make your own. Grab some paint pens, super glue (or a glue gun), and some rhinestones.
  • Opt for one of your favorite LMFAO t’s or go for a bright print t-shirt.
  • Animal print jacket (be sure to cur off your left sleeve like Redfoo). We’re feeling this one from Wet Seal.
  • A curly wig to go as Skyblu or an afro to go as Redfoo

“Sexy And I Know It” Redfoo:

What you’ll need:

  • Afro wig, Shuffling sneakers and glasses (see above).
  • A men’s workout tank — like this Gold’s Gym one.
  • If you’re feeling super confident, go all out with an animal print speedo. (We dig this one.) And if you’re feeling more modest, then go for animal print bike shorts.
  • Don’t forget an “IWorkOut” license plate-shaped necklace. Use poster board, markers, a hole puncher and a silver chain.

Robot Pete:

What you’ll need:

  • Black t-shit, black skinny jeans, black bomber jacket (Personally, we dig this one from Target.)
  • Gold fabric paint and a large paintbrush to paint your jacket and jeans.
  • Gold spray paint.
  • Scissors, an exacto knife and a cardboard box big enough to cover your head.
  • Remember your eyes will go where the mouth of the robot is. For safety, we recommend leaving that open instead of covering it with black mesh. Then spray paint the box and let dry.
  • Glue eyes out of red and black construction paper or felt and glue into place.
  • For an incredibly impressive recreation (far beyond our crafting skills) head here.

There you have it! Now, go make your Halloween party rock — and be sure to shout, “Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots!” as you shuffle in for your grand entrance.
