Britney Spears’ ‘Femme Fatale’ Concert Special: Even Less Live Singing Than You’d Expect

Britney Spears’ singing was already mostly (if not totally) dubbed over with pre-recorded vocals for her Femme Fatale tour, so we’re baffled why, for her concert special airing on EPIX, it was necessary to dub over Brit’s voice yet again with studio recordings? Muting the sound (including the fans’ cheers) from the live performance turns the entire viewing experience into an empty, flat affair. Watch four energy-lacking clips below and prepare to be not amazed.

Even more disappointing than the sound quality is Brit’s lethargic dancing, particularly as she attempts to recreate her famous “Slave 4 U” choreography. Depressing, as we have proof that it wasn’t always this way. Sigh.

“I’m A Slave 4 U”

“Boys”

“3”

“Drop Dead (Beautiful)”
