Javier Colon was crowned the winner of the first season of The Voice in late June. Meanwhile, his first album since that triumph (and his third overall), Come Through For You, is being released a mere five months later, on November 21. Head below to hear the LP’s upbeat first single, a collaboration with Natasha Bedingfield called “As Long As We Got Love”. Given that Adam Levine was Javier’s coach on The Voice, it’s no surprise that the crooner is going in a more pop-rock direction — at least as far as this first single is concerned. Adult Contemporary staple Natasha Bedingfield also sounds like a natural fit for this feel-good duet.

“As Long As We Got Love” almost sounds a bit dated, in that it’s the type of radio-friendly pair-up that was all the rage in the ’90s. That said, we’re just hoping it becomes a big hit so that programmers will ease up on playing “Unwritten” around the clock.

“As Long As We Got Love” was added to iTunes this week.
