James Durbin’s “Love Me Bad” Video Behind-The-Scenes: Idolator Premiere

James Durbin lit the American Idol stage on fire with his powerful, wailing performances, and now the Season 10 alum is setting the desert aflame in his debut music video for “Love Me Bad”, the lead single off his album Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster (out November 21). We’ve got the inside look at the heavy metal enthusiast behind the scenes of his new vid — hop the jump to take a wild ride with the Durbinator!

In the clip for the power ballad, James takes a joyride through the desert — okay, he’s cruising while strapped to the back of a U-Haul truck, but still, it’s not everyday you get behind the driver’s seat of a 71 Dodge Challenger!

“I had a little too much fun driving,” says James, referencing the fact that the convertible suffered an internal fire in the engine during the shoot. Yikes! However, that’s nothing to the fire James starts himself. Take a look:
