J. Cole’s ‘Cole World’ Strikes Gold

J. Cole may need to ask Santa for a few new shelves this holiday. The 2012 Best New Artist Grammy nominee may soon find himself with a shortage of mantle space now that his very first studio LP, Cole Word: The Sideline Story, has been certified gold. Since its September debut at #1 on Billboard‘s Top 200 chart, the album has sold more than 500,000 units, and you know what that means: the Roc Nation newcomer gets a big, shiny framed record to hang alongside his stocking. Cole took to Twitter earlier today to thank his fans and share proof of the achievement. With so much to celebrate, we’re sure J. Cole’s year-end “Party” won’t be one to miss.
