Just as Rihanna has been ruling Billboard‘s Hot 100 singles chart for several weeks with “We Found Love”, Michael Buble’s holiday offering Christmas has been the leader on the Top 200. Billboard reports that the Canadian crooner is indeed on his way to topping the final album chart of the year next week (dated December 31). Christmas has sold 1.52 million copies to date, making it the fourth best-selling album of 2011, behind Adele’s 21 (5 million), Lady Gaga’s Born This Way (2 million) and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV (1.8 million). The festive LP, which features guests like Shania Twain, Thalia and the Puppini Sisters, is predicted to sell another 450,000 to 500,000 copies by Sunday’s chart cutoff date.

Christmas is now Michael’s third chart-topping album in the US, following his 2007 offering Call Me Irresponsible and 2009’s Crazy Love, which produced “Haven’t Met You Yet”, Buble’s first Top 40 hit on the Hot 100.
