Those rumors about a televised Kylie Minogue and Madonna duet may have turned out to be unfounded (boooooo!), but celebrations for Kylie’s 25th year in the music business are kicking off, nonetheless. The Australian music icon is gifting her fans with a video of her song “Finer Feelings”, as performed with a string orchestra. The clip was unlocked after 25,000 Twitter users tweeted #k25fans at the singer (@kylieminogue). Head below to watch! A press release notes that this new rendition of “Finer Feelings” is the first in a series of especially commissioned new recordings of classic Kylie songs, recorded at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios. Further tracks will be made available periodically throughout the year. The songs Kylie has recorded are a surprise and will be revealed on the day they become available.

Below is the original video for “Finer Feelings”, which was produced by Mike Stock and Pete Waterman, and received a single remix by Brothers In Rhythm.

Incidentally, Steve Anderson of Brothers In Rhythm has been helping to produce Kylie’s new versions of her old tracks for her 25th anniversary project.

As of now, an album collecting these acoustic and orchestral recordings has not been confirmed. But our fingers sure are crossed!
