Madonna mentioned her intention to do a tour in support of upcoming album MDNA during her sitdown with Graham Norton last month, but so far nothing official has been said about such a venture — until now. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Live Nation president and chief exec Michael Rapino stated the following: “At this point we’re optimistic about 2012. Madonna’s going on the road, and those tickets will go on sale right after the Super Bowl.” This announcement comes during what is possibly one of the busiest weeks of The Material Girl’s lengthy career. The singer’s music video for lead MDNA single “Give Me All Your Luvin'” will be previewed during tonight’s episode of American Idol. The full clip then premieres tomorrow via Madonna’s YouTube channel. The single will also be made available on iTunes.

Did we mention that W.E., which Madonna directed, also hits theaters tomorrow? And then, of course, there is the small matter of that Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday, which so far has such confirmed guests as Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. and LMFAO.

Madonna’s 12th studio album MDNA is scheduled for a March 26 release. Will you be picking up tickets to see her on tour if they do indeed go on sale right after the Super Bowl?
