Madonna can continue her MDNA press tour in peace. The pop star’s stalker, who broke out of the Los Angeles mental hospital at which he resides, has been caught. Robert Dewey Hoskins was incarcerated in 1996 for stalking Madonna, trespassing on her property and threatening to kill the pop star, along with her assistant and bodyguard. He was convicted and spent ten years behind bars. After his release, Hoskins was arrested for vandalism in July 2011 and was placed into the Metropolitan State Hospital — which be broke out of last week.

Hoskins was caught Friday afternoon in Los Angeles. There are no details as to where he was or how he spent the past week.

The 54-year-old-man is described by the police as “a very psychotic man when not taking his medication and has very violent tendencies.” E! Online reports that he had also been sending death threats to Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry.
