Justin Bieber Wins Villain Of The Year NME Award Night Before His Birthday

British rock mag NME, which recently offended its former cover girl Lady Gaga by labeling Born This Way the Most Pretentious Album Ever, pulled somewhat of an about-face by singling Mother Monster out for Best Band Blog Or Twitter at last night’s NME Awards. In fact, the publication aimed its negativity elsewhere by “awarding” birthday boy Justin Bieber with both Villain Of The Year and Worst Album Of The Year (for Under The Mistletoe). So who does the magazine actually like? Find out by checking the full list of winners below. Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine, who, despite the ongoing confusion of whether she’s actually part of a band or not, won Best Solo Artist (guess that solves that?) and Best Track for “Shake It Out”. Another multiple winner: Foo Fighters, who picked up statues for Best International Band and Best Music Film.

Meanwhile Jared Leto of 30 Seconds To Mars and Paramore’s Hayley Williams were named Hottest Male and Hottest Female, respectively, while boy band One Direction were shamed with an award for Worst Band.
