Madonna’s “Falling Free”: Hear A Snippet

And now for something completely different! Judging by the snippets we’ve heard so far, MDNA sounds like a nonstop dance party (aside from the inclusion of W.E.‘s “Masterpiece,” that is). But the new snippet for “Falling Free” takes things in a different direction, with Madge sounding less like a “Girl Gone Wild” and more like a grown woman ready to do some serious self-reflection. “When I lose a certain claim that tries to know and needs to blame, whatever river runs aground, it turns my head and washes down…” the Queen of Pop croons on the William Orbit-produced track, which appropriately sounds like it would have been right at home on Ray of Light. Hear a clip below. Madonna — “Falling Free” (snippet)

As much as we love club-ready Madge, it’s refreshing to hear some grown-up lyrics and a more solemn tone coming from MDNA, too. We can’t wait to hear this in full.
