Shirley Manson Talks Garbage & Justin Bieber On ‘Chelsea Lately’

Turns out Shirley Manson’s loss was Chelsea Handler’s gain. The Garbage frontwoman hit up Chelsea Lately last night, and the pair discussed how Manson’s former makeup artist, who worked with her for a decade, now touches up the talk show host. “You can borrow her whenever you want,” Chelsea told the “Blood For Poppies” songstress. “She’s such a bitch!” The pair then got to talking about the reformation of Garbage after a seven-year hiatus, and what caused the band to got their separate ways in the first place. “We had a lot of issues toward the end of the last tour that we did, which is why we decided to come off the road,” Manson said of the final days of Garbage in the ’00s. “We just got a bit despondent about the way the music business had gone, and our record company, we felt, were sort of greedy and all they cared about was money. And that wasn’t why we wanted to be in a band in the first place.”

The pair also found time to joke about Justin Bieber. “I’ve kind of softened on the Biebs. He’s won me over,” Shirley said. “At some point you just have to,” Chelsea replied.

Garbage’s first album in seven years, Not Your Kind Of People, is due out on May 15.
