Justin Bieber dropped his fourth “Boyfriend” video teaser trailer Tuesday night (Apr. 17) on The Voice. Like the song itself, the video features a more mature — bordering on erotic — vibe than found in the 18-year-old’s past work. Directed by Colin Tilley, who’d previously collaborated with the Biebs on his “U Smile” video in 2010, “Boyfriend” uses artistic shots of Bieber provocatively whispering into girls’ ears, being felt up by a swarm of female hands and making come-hither stares at the camera. After the clip premiered, Justin announced that his upcoming album Believe is due out June 19 and that he will return to The Voice stage to perform the saucy first single live during the show’s finale in three weeks.

In the three previous “Boyfriend” teaser clips, we glimpsed Bieber striking a Michael Jackson-like silhouette in front of a full moon, saw him suspended in water and finally, singing the song’s opening lyrics on a shadowy set where female fingers get a handful.

The Mike Posner-produced track is Bieber’s first single off Believe. The R&B-sounding song features a more grown-up vocal performance (read: lower octave) that has earned the Canadian crooner comparisons to Justin Timberlake. Since it’s debut in March, “Boyfriend” has gone to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
