Justin Bieber isn’t covering Backstreet Boys, but his next single is called “As Long As You Love Me” — or at least that might be his next single. “I feel like my next single [after ‘Boyfriend’] is better, and even my next single after that’s gonna be better than that,” JB told Sway on MTV First last night. When asked by the host what the next single is called, Bieber replied, “I don’t have it completely set, so I can’t say the wrong thing right now… I think it’s ‘As Long As You Love Me’, but I’m not sure. But that’s one of my favorites.”

Judging by the beatboxing Bieber did to give an example of what the new tune sounds like, it’s doesn’t appear to be a cover of Backstreet’s 1997 hit. Which is a shame, because we’re all about the ’90s realness around these parts lately.

Justin added that he wrote a song for his mom called “Turn To You”, which may or not appear on his upcoming album Believe — but either way, he’s planning to release it on Mother’s Day. “She had me at the age I am now — like me having a kid now,” Beiber said while describing the song. “So, just the struggles she went through and how brave she was — I just thought the world needs to know that.”

Believe is out on June 19. Have you weighed on with your thoughts on the video for first single “Boyfriend” yet, Beliebers?
