Gossip‘s Beth Ditto finds self-empowerment in style on “Move In The Right Direction”, off the alt-pop group’s fifth studio album A Joyful Noise. (Yep, that’s the terrifying album cover up there.) “I’m doing fine / One step closer every day at a time,” sings Ditto on the dance tune, and the pick-me-up you might need to give yourself a boost of confidence. Though Gossip tracks are typically written by drummer Hannah Blilie and guitarist Nathan Howdeshell, this one was co-written with producer Brian Higgins. “It was definitely very different for us to hand over that creative side a little bit and then reinterpret it in our own way,” says Blilie to Rolling Stone.
