Before The Voice could crown its Season 2 winner, we were first gifted with a live performance by Justin Bieber of his first Believe single “Boyfriend”. The Canadian crooner took the stage by emerging out of a smoke-filled fluorescent light tunnel (or an homage to Dan Flavin) dressed in a studded black jacket.

We were expecting the Biebs to pull some sort of switcheroo, much like he did when the unveiling of the song’s music video last week, wherein the pop star completely scrapped his “All Hands On Biebs” plot (the same footage he teased us with on The Voice just two weeks ago) in exchange for a rooftop car party.

Instead the surprise came from JB’s voice. When Justin went to say “hello” to falsetto, the Billboard cover boy wound up having a “Peter Brady Moment” on live television.
