When a mysterious trailer titled “Made In America” surfaced on Friday, appearing on Jay-Z‘s Life + Times YouTube channel and utilizing The Throne‘s “H.A.M.”, we assumed it was a new music video, or perhaps a DVD concert. As it turns out, it’s much bigger than both of those — Jay-Z will curate and headline a new two-day music festival in Philadelphia.

The MC will star in Budweiser Made In America music festival, taking place in Philly’s Fairmount Park on September 1 and 2. All proceeds from the Live Nation-produced two-day fest will benefit United Way.

“This Labor Day, we will not only make history but we’re benefiting a great organization,” says Jay-Z in a statement. “‘Budweiser Made in America’ will encompass every genre of music, creating and showcasing the only genre that matters, ‘great music.’  Budweiser and Live Nation are going to produce an amazing two days of performances, and it’s great to partner with United Way again to support all of the positive work they do in the community.”

Tickets go on sale May 23. Other than Jay-Z, a lineup has yet to be announced, though the press release informs us that acts will range from rock, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and dance. (Can we assume Beyonce will be on the bill? After all, it’s her husband’s music festival!)

Will you be hitting Philly this Labor Day to check out Hova’s fest?
